Since its establishment in 1971, CRI has supported more than 1,350 young cancer immunologists at top universities who have deepened our knowledge of the immune system and its relationship to cancer. Postdoctoral fellows, under the guidance of a leading scientist, receive up to $175,500 over three years.

The CRI Irvington Postdoctoral Fellowship to Promote Racial Diversity furthers career development and supports laboratory research for promising young scientists who identify as Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino/a American, or American Indian or Alaska Native, working under the mentorship of leading immunologists.

The development of new and effective cancer treatments requires the translation of basic laboratory discoveries into novel therapies that can be tested in patients. CLIP investigators study critical topics at the intersection of laboratory and clinical research.

The Lloyd J. Old STAR Program provides grants of $1.25 million over 5 years to mid-career scientists. This long-term funding will not be tied to a specific research project, but rather will aim to provide a degree of flexibility and freedom for investigators to explore out-of-the-box and disruptive avenues of research.

Through its Impact Grants, CRI funds projects—often in collaboration with other nonprofits and individual donors—that aim to advance defined scientific and technological goals.

The CRI Technology Impact Award provides seed funding of up to $200,000 to be used over 12-24 months to address the gap between technology development and clinical application of cancer immunotherapies.

The Clinical Accelerator brings together the best capabilities of the world's leading academic researchers, drug companies, and a unique nonprofit venture fund to kick-start the development of powerful new treatments for cancer patients.
