Antonio C. Alvarez II ("Tony") is the co-founder and co-CEO of Alvarez & Marsal ("A&M"). Founded in 1983, A&M is a global professional services firm that provides restructuring, enterprise performance improvement, and business advisory services to corporations, private equity firms, and the public sector.
Tony and his wife Gail immigrated from the Philippines in 1969 after he graduated from De La Salle College of the Philippines. He completed his MBA at NYU Stern School of Business.
Prior to co-founding A&M, he spent 12 years with Coopers & Lybrand where he headed the NY Restructuring consulting practice. He then spent two years with Norton Simon.
Tony is a member of Board of Trustees of NYU Stern School of Business.
Tony and Gail co-founded the Alvarez Foundation with operations in the United States and Philippines that is the vehicle for their philanthropy projects in education, disaster relief, medical research, and assistance to the poor and needy.
