Neil H. Segal, M.D., Ph.D., is clinical director of the immunotherapeutics group and assistant attending in the division of gastrointestinal oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), New York, NY. Dr. Segal specializes in the treatment of patients with gastrointestinal cancers, and his research interests focus on the development of new therapies, particularly immunotherapies. He is leader or co-leader of several clinical trials investigating immunotherapeutic treatment of various solid and hematologic malignancies.
Dr. Segal’s work has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Clinical Cancer Research, New England Journal of Medicine, British Journal of Cancer, JAMA, and Clinical Colorectal Cancer.
He earned his medical degree from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. He completed a residency in internal medicine at New York University Medical Center and a fellowship in medical oncology at MSKCC. He is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology.
