An Unforgettable Experience
Imagine it. Riding your bike through some of New York's most stunning natural scenery with a distance goal that you set for yourself. After all the preparation, you're ready for this moment. Or maybe you chose to walk or run part of the course that winds through the historic U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Whether you bike, run, or walk, you signed up because you want to do something to end cancer as we know it. And here's your chance to do just that. Your chance to be part of the Answer to Cancer.
The Cancer Problem
This year, more than 1.7 million Americans will be diagnosed with cancer, and 600,000 will die of cancer. That's 1,620 people a day. Worldwide, cancer claims the lives of more than 7 million people each year. It's a global health crisis that will worsen unless we do something now to stop cancer in its tracks. By participating in the Answer to Cancer, you can help us conquer cancer sooner.
Immunotherapy: an Answer to Cancer
Thanks to decades of research, there's now a new way to treat cancer that is unlike anything that's come before. It's called IMMUNOTHERAPY, and it works by harnessing our own immune system's innate power to find and eliminate cancer. The FDA has recently approved several immunotherapies for melanoma, lung cancer, and kidney cancer. More treatments are in the pipeline and have the potential to help patients with many others kinds of cancer. Truly, a revolution in cancer treatment has begun.
Urgent Need
We've come so far, but there's more work to be done. Conquering cancer in our lifetime with immunotherapy will require more research in laboratories and clinics around the world. Your support of the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) will help us get there sooner. CRI pioneered the field of immunotherapy, providing support for researchers since 1953. Today, CRI is leading the way in funding innovative research, fostering scientific collaboration, and educating the public about the power of immunotherapy.
Research Saves Lives
Together, we will find more answers to cancer. 100% of the money you raise will go to support CRI's cutting-edge scientific research programs. We look forward to riding alongside you and hundreds of others like you who are committed to biking for a future immune to cancer.
