Cierra Howard is a community fundraising coordinator at the Cancer Research Institute. She manages a portfolio of fundraisers, motivating and stewarding them throughout the peer-to-peer fundraising process. She also assists with cause-related marketing relationships, providing assistance to all of CRI's grassroots fundraisers.
She joined CRI in August 2017 as a data entry and gift processing assistant, working closely with the development team to ensure all donations are processed and to cultivate the most promising relationships with our small donors.
Cierra graduated from Manhattan College with a degree in biology. Her years of involvement in cell-based research and the loss of her grandfather to esophageal cancer in 2013 have strengthened her passion to reach a future without cancer.
In her spare time Cierra enjoys cooking for family and friends, as well as exploring the hidden gems of New York.
Being able to work one-on-one with our fundraisers and hearing their stories inspires me to find new creative ways for people to get involved in raising awareness of CRI’s mission to cure all cancers.
