Dr. Jonathan Cebon is the head of the cancer immunobiology program at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute, the medical director of the Cancer and Neurosciences Clinical Services Unit at Austin Health, and a professor of medicine at the University of Melbourne.
Dr. Cebon is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, and in addition to research that seeks to better understand immune responses against cancer, he is responsible for overseeing clinical trials, including some that have employed immunotherapy vaccines to prevent or delay recurrence in high-risk patients after surgery.
Dr. Cebon has been a member of CRI’s Scientific Advisory Council since 2013, and is also a member of CRI’s Clinical Leadership Committee.
CRI’s financial support of these trials is indispensable, as is having access to their vast network of scientists and clinicians, whose insight has proven invaluable time and again. I can speak for everyone who is a part of these trials — from the researchers to the patients — when I express just how grateful I am for their support and guidance.
