Andrew M. Paul is the managing member of Sopris Capital Associates, as well as the founder and general partner of Enhanced Equity Fund (EEF), a $600 million private equity firm which he launched in 2005. He is also the founder and chairman of Enhanced Capital Partners (ECP) a $450 million specialized venture capital fund. He has been actively engaged in private equity and venture capital investing for over 30 years, primarily in the healthcare industry.
Previously, Mr. Paul was a managing general partner at Welsh Carson Anderson & Stowe, a leading private equity firm with over $20 billion under management, where he focused on healthcare investing. Prior to WCAS, he was an Associate at Hambrecht & Quist.
Mr. Paul received his B.A. from Cornell University in 1978 and his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1983. He is on the Board of Directors of Lawrence Hospital and Cancer Research Institute and a Trustee Emeritus of Cornell University. He lives in Bronxville, New York with his wife Margaret and their four children.
