William “Bill” Goldberg has played important leadership roles in the turnaround, operating improvement and new product line development of several health care companies. Mr. Goldberg currently serves as a senior advisor to private equity firms and is also actively engaged with several developing health care technology firms.
Much of Mr. Goldberg’s career has been dedicated to managing corporate turnarounds in many sectors of the health care industry. Within the pharmaceutical manufacturing and pharma services sector, he previously served as the chief executive officer of MediMedia and Planet Biopharmaceuticals, and as president of Morton Grove Pharmaceuticals. Within the patient education and employer health management field, Mr. Goldberg served as the CEO of StayWell Company and Interactive Health. Earlier in his career, he also held interim leadership roles in the patient care sector at LifeCare Holdings and TransHealthcare. In addition, Mr. Goldberg has previously also served as board chair of DNA Diagnostic Center and as a director of American Medical International and Medical Knowledge Group.
In addition to his service on the Cancer Research Institute’s board of trustees, which he joined in 2022, Mr. Goldberg’s other not-for-profit activities include board roles with The North Shore Senior Center, Northwestern Medicines’ Cognitive Neurology and Alzheimer’s Disease Center, and Northwestern Memorial Foundation.
Mr. Goldberg holds an A.B. in Economics from Brown University and an MBA from the Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania. He and his wife, Nancy, live in Winnetka, IL, and are the parents of three adult sons.
